Biking September 21, 2010
I did it!
- Is the number of time ass jerks baby boomer honked at me and cut me off just to tell me that I am a fucking idiot for crossing the road when it’s a green light. What am I supposed to do? Wait till the light is red?
- Is the amount of other cyclist doing the same thing while laboriously climbing the fucking hill. Also the number of middle fingers I returned. (You are on a designated biking road asshat, get used to the middle fingers)
- Is the number of hills you have to climb over to get to Stanley park.
64.5 km of biking done in 5 hours 10 minutes. After weeks of training, I have finally reached a new milestone. Reaching the destination wasn’t hard, it was coming back that almost crushed me. Then again, the scenery where I had my lunch more than made up for it. I could finished it earlier had I not lost my way several times and taken my 30 minute lunch, why do I care? It’s my first time going there by bike. I am supposed to get lost, it’s fun.
My next challenge is to tour UBC. From the initial estimations, it seems to be a tougher trip. However, if the roads are flat, I just might blow through the course without a sweat.
